(More customer reviews)This beautiful bookcase does indeed have 5 shelves, but used as such will not permit at least half of my books to stand upright.I am not speaking of oversized volumes, but of many current fiction books.So, I have a choice ... rearrange the shelving and convert it to a 4 shelf bookcase, or shelve many books horizontally.
